Despite being possibly descended from Robert Burns, I have little poetic ability myself, but I can still appreciate good poetry. Meeting with Christ and other Poems are a very powerful poetic commentary on our modern society. The poems are easy to read and I found the collection as a whole a compelling read once I started on the poems.
I nearly gave up reading the book after starting the introductory prose. I am glad I skipped forward to the poems.
This is a book that should make people think about what sort of society we have collectively created, and what will happen to it in the future.

very meaningful enjoyable
This book took me awhile to read. I found myself entering into a contemplative state. One of my favorite poems was "circle" I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
First of all let me say that I am not a poetry reader. But this book I feel is not poems so much as the observations of every man, woman and child. I really enjoyed each and every entry. Yes I have my favourites. A very good read.
This author takes you inside his mind, his heart, and his own personal beliefs. You could easily tell what kind of day this author was having by the words and tone of his writing. I truly enjoyed reading these poems, and can't wait to read more.
Deepak Chaswal captures in his poetry a mirror of the human experience. He situates himself with his audience as the observer while simultaneously drawing us in to view the human condition from outside the circle of perception where thoughts are biased. Through his poetic expression of language, he masterfully guides his readers into an awareness of discovery, comparable to the perceptual effects of Schrodinger's Cat Thought Experiment. I would recommend reading his poetry for the awakening it elicits.
It took me a little while to get into this collection, but once I did it was well worth it. The images the poet creates melds the spiritual with the mundane and leaves the reader both moved and pondering.

At once simplistic and approachable, the poems nonetheless alluded to deeper truths and left me thinking.
Poet Deepak Chaswal is nothing less than brilliant. His poems are majestic, straightforward and compelling. The tone of this collection, Meeting with Christ and Other Poems, is melodic and rich in imagery. My favorite piece, Colour, was both emotional and enduring. The first line struck me and lured me in... "Without the wings of imagination..." Let Deepak Chaswal's imagination take deep inside his world. Personally, I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon. 5 STARS!
