Really interesting book, I enjoyed it a lot. I felt like I was having an adventure in the music industry, though I have no idea what it's like.I sympathized with the main character, and liked how she was trying to help her friend. I though her relationships were interesting, especially the mother and the attraction she felt for the male lead, even though he had his problems. It was also a great amount of spicy material, but it added to the story and didn't feel like it ground to a halt when the smexy stuff happened.
I liked it and look forward to reading the next book and more from this author.

Strung Out A Needles and Pins Rock Romance edition by Lyrica Creed The Pedantic Punctuator Arts Photography eBooks Reviews
Scarlette’s friend goes to a concert and Scarlette didn’t heard from her the next couple of days. She is worried and decides to find her. Scarlette needs the help of her stepbrother, Gage, and she stays at his house until she finds her friend. Gage is happy to see his stepsister again. He helps her find her friend. The more time he spends with her, the more he wants to change and wants her to stay with him.
I didn’t hate nor love this book. I did love the second part of the book more than the first part, because it was less about the drugs and Gage and Scarlette were growing closer to each other. Things were better between them. I do want to read the next part of Scarlette and Gage’s story.
I liked Gage and Scarlette. Scarlette is a smart, independent and caring woman. She didn’t hesitate to go and search for her friend, even if she had to sacrifice something for it. She loved it to see her stepbrother again, but Gage isn’t the same man anymore and she’s shocked by some things. Gage is a famous rock star who has a few issues. He loves music and making it. He also loves women and drugs.
What I didn’t like, was that I didn’t always feel the connection or the love between Gage and Scarlette. I was sometimes wondering how they would end up together, because I wasn’t feeling it. For me, the book was also more about Gage’s drug use than about the search of Ivy. I also didn’t understand Ivy’s reaction when Scarlette finally finds her.
The author gives you the option to read the book in first pov or third pov, but Gage’s pov is always in third. I thought that was a little weird, but I got used to it.
Really love this one on onto the next one!
I really wasn't sure about this book when I first got it, but damn it was just so good. Loved it
I liked this book. It was a different way to view the world of rock stars and their families and ups and downs.
I friggin loved this book, it was down and dirty, and took me places I wasn't sure I wanted to go. But I went and I wasn't sorry. Thanks so very much for the great read, can't wait for the next book, Lyrica. Rock on!!!
The writing and editing is sound and the hero is a dream boat, but the heroine, for me, was hard to connect with. Overall, a good read, but the book ends 48% through and is repeated after a teaser of book 2.
I love Rockstar Romance. When I read the sample for this book, I had to buy it, and I’m so glad I did. The writing was truly suburb. I was totally sucked into the story, finishing the entire novel in two sittings.
Scarlette and Gage are former stepsiblings, but it’s apparent from the onset they were always more. As adolescents they were best friends, and that’s the real hook for me. Their relationship, as told in snippets from the past, was very innocent. The author handled this subject without making it seem inappropriate, which has been all the rage lately in the “step-brother/step-sister” romance.
“Scarla,” as she likes to be called now, has grown apart from Gage in the years since their parents divorce. Her mother has always had a penchant for rock stars, and that plays significantly into the plot.
When Scarla’s friend disappears after a concert, she shows up at Gage’s house in hopes he can help track her down. Gage is not the boy she remembers, but a rockstar in his own right. Worse yet, Gage has fallen victim to the whole lifestyle that Scarla abhors.
Due to her mother’s past indiscretions, and a plot twist that is revealed piece by piece throughout the story, Scarla has zero interest in a relationship with a musician. As much as she tries to fight the attraction, Scarla sees something beyond the flawed man she finds when she first arrives. But will it be enough for her to let down her guard?
If you like music and romance, give this book a read. You won’t be sorry.
