Romance is the name of the game in this book. This book delivers what we all want more romance and excitement in our life. Overall I am very well pleased with this book and the excitement it has brought me. This book had me unwilling to put it down until I turned the last page as I was so enthralled with the plot.The author of this book knows how to deliver the good in this romance novel. Would I recommend this book to other people? Yes I would including friends .I absolutely think this is great book. Jillian Jacobs takes you on a journey that captures your heart, spirit and your imagination. She quickly catches you and you become lost in the story. When you surface in awe of the beauty of the book and the impact it makes on how you view everyday beauty that surrounds us. Thank you for writing a book that heightened my senses and touched my hear!
I enjoyed this story very much! It puts a different spin on the standard elemental storylines out there. When I finished reading (just a few minutes ago), I immediately went looking for the 2nd book in the series. When it's released, I will pick it up.
In the beginning this story was very jumpy to me. Felt like it just all over the place but once i got the grips of the authors writing it flowed very well and I really enjoyed this story. Maya is water and Terran is a human who she fell I love with. With her brothers Flint and Nolin, they have to try and defend the earth from an evil dark matter who can take over any human form. Find out what happens when maya's heart is in this fight too will she give up her powers for the love of her life or will he join her in the war.
I won this novel on a blog site, and I'm glad I did. The story ideas were creative and original. I like it when a book surprises me. Pros sometime say that a story's only as good as its villain, and Quint was SOME villain. The author did a wonderful job on the Elemental's new recruit, Terran. Great characterization. Her action scenes pulsed with tension. My only comment is that some of the other characters could have been fleshed out more, and occasionally, the writing could have been a little more polished. But the actual story swept me along. A fun read!
“Water’s Threshold” is a wonderfully written story with an abundance of self-depreciating humor, a villain so heartless and indestructible (dark matter never ever truly “dies”) it’s terrifying, and moments of prose so expressive you begin to see your own planet with the same heart-palpitating-eyelash-batting breathiness you would a new lover. I’m no tree-hugger, but “Water’s Threshold” certainly reminded me of the natural beauty and majesty of the Earth. Speaking of earth, Terran is a perfect hero. A strong, capable, take-charge kind of guy with a brain (who knew science nerds could be so sexy? Sign me up!). Maya is a beautiful combination of strength and vulnerability, with lots of cool Elemental powers I would so love to have. The story holds plenty of romance, tension, angst, uncertainty, conflict, and resolution. I admit I might have yelled at my a time or two, so caught up in the action. And I’m also caught up in the romance potential for the other Elementals. Please, Jillian Jacobs, write quickly…I can’t wait to read the Happily Ever After for Flint and Nodin!
Very different story that I thoroughly enjoyed. The different elements I didn't give much thought to until I read this book. Maya is an amazing Water Element that has forgotten how to love until she meets Terran who is destined to be the Earth Element. Both sad and happy moments along with some surprises. I can hardly wait to read the second book. A lot of great imagination went into this book.
I struggled thru some very mixed emotions while I read this book. Although I still on the fence about certain parts, overall is was a pleasant read.

The concept of the elements being controlled/ manipulated by a supernatural being that is one in the same as them, was very interesting. I found the idea very refreshing and having lots of potential. I did how ever struggle with the constant mass confusion that was the majority of the book. It seemed like the characters were constantly in the dark, acting shady or just oblivious to all that around them. I am more drawn to strong, confident and intelligent characters. I felt like all of the characters in this book might have been living under a rock or jut ditsy. Because of this, I found myself struggling to find and keep interest while reading.

In this story you meet a man who loves the Earth. He wants to make a difference, and is willing to do so at any cost. He keeps running into this mysteries woman that things never seem to add up with. The more he sees her, the more he is drawn to her in a sexual way. After a series of complicated and chaotic events he ends up meeting all the elements and is asked to join. At this time he freaks out in denial and the he is forced to make the decision and except the "true".

Over all a very well thought out and interesting idea.
